ALONG WITH ALL PACKAGING MATERIALS POLYTHENE IS SEEN AS SOMEWHAT WASTEFUL AND DAMAGING TO THE ENVIRONMENT. THE REALITY IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE. AT XTEX WE ENSURE THAT WE ALSO OPERATE IN AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY WAY.

RECYCLABLE PLASTIC BAG MANUFACTURERS

The primary raw material of polythene is made from naphtha gas, one of a number of by-products produced from the petroleum refinery process when distilling crude oil. Only 3% of the world’s supply of oil is used to make all plastic packaging.

Our products and processes are environmentally friendly, whilst meeting the practical needs of consumers and society. We comply fully with current legislative requirements, and we constantly monitor our processes to eliminate any unnecessary waste or by-products.

Packaging contains and protects goods in transit. Once the packaging has done that job, the consumer throws it away and therefore sees it as a part of a waste stream and part of the wider environmental problem.

Recyclable Plastic Bag Suppliers produce Polythene packaging that is the most lightweight and durable material capable of properly protecting the goods that consumers need. Without it, the damage to our environment from unnecessary spoilage and waste would be far worse.

Packaging reduction, recycling and biodegradable plastics are of increasing interest to our customers and the general public.

Recyclable Printed Carrier Bag Manufacturers produce a large proportion of the polythene that can have a second use after fulfilling its original purpose of packaging, either through being recycled or converted to energy-from-waste, bringing additional environmental benefits.

We are one of the areas major Recyclable Plastic Bag Manufacturers.

The environmental impact of polythene is often misunderstood. It is the most lightweight and durable material capable of properly protecting the goods that your consumers need. Without it, the damage to our environment from unnecessary spoilage and waste would be far worse.

Often it’s not the bag that is at fault when it comes to pollution but how it is used/disposed of. In fact the family of the inventor of the polythene bag (Sten Gustaf Thulin from Sweden in 1959) say the bags were designed to stop trees from being destroyed. Unlike paper bags polythene bags can be re-sued over and over and this is how the inventor intended them to be used. What is more, Polythene is relatively easy to recycle when compared to paper.

To recycle polythene it simply has to be melted and reformed into polymer granules, however the carbon footprint created when recycling paper is much larger. The paper has to be washed, de-inked, bleached and mixed with water.

We take every step possible to ensure that throughout our whole manufacturing and delivery process we remain as green as possible and minimise waste at every opportunity.

Off cuts, waste polythene and samples that are created during our manufacturing process are all saved and put to a second use. Where possible melted, cleaned and used for more polythene packaging and carrier bags at a later date. Where this isn't possible it's instead used for packing and has many other uses around our factories and offices.
